UL stepshow

Since the early 1990s the National Pan-Hellenic Council has been hosting an annual Step Show open to the public.  Fraternities and sororities showcase their stepping skills through drum line-themed skits.
The first group made an eye-opening entrance as it did summersaults onto the stage.  With an equal show of energy, the last group performed a step routine blindfolded.  The girls weaved through each other flawlessly.  The stage was only part of the show floor, though.  Before, after and between shows the crowd joined the party.  The aisles were filled with people dancing.

“Our main goal is to better society as a whole,” Marc Holmes, Kappa Alpha Psi member, commented.
The fraternity engages in various community projects including sponsoring children at elementary schools to give them positive role models.  Dennis Dent, vice president of NPHC, said proceeds from the show are used as general funds for community projects.  Some of the favorite activities of NPHC are the Episcopal school step show, Outreach, and the NPHC Rounder.
